Aims: To provide practical information for participants so that they are able to understand the benefits of income they could generate from Gift Aid and the process of registration.

Gift Aid enables charities and community amateur sports club to reclaim the tax paid on donations from individuals – for every pound your organisation is given you can claim an additional 28 pence from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). By building this option into your fundraising strategy you can generate higher levels of unrestricted funding for your organisation. This session will look at the process of registering for and claiming Gift Aid in five simple steps and it will also cover the changes to the process following on from the 2010 budget.
