Screening for Life Campaign

Conwy People’s Partnership, part of Social Care and Education Services, is involved in assisting Public Health Wales with their ‘Screening for Life Campaign’.

Starting in July 2015, the purpose of the month-long campaign is to promote screening programmes in workplaces throughout Conwy County and encourage eligible men and women to take up free NHS screening in the following programmes:

Also being promoted is:

  • Newborn hearing screening
  • Newborn bloodspot screening
  • Newborn antenatal screening

Every year hundreds of thousands of people all across Wales take advantage of the opportunity to be screened. However, thousands of people ignore their screening invitation. Screening really can save your life, and we would urge everyone to have a look at the information and consider taking part.

Key messages factsheets about each of the programmes can be found at www.screeningforlife.wales.nhs.uk
Information leaflets will be available in CCBC offices, libraries and leisure centres.
