Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Park and Ride facility launched
A free Park and Ride Service for Glan Clwyd Hospital will start on Monday 13th October.
The shuttle bus scheme will help ease the current parking pressures and traffic congestion on the Glan Clwyd site. The Scheme is aimed mainly at staff, freeing up more spaces at the hospital for patients and visitors, but members of the public coming to the hospital are also welcome to use it.
The parking area will be on the former Hotpoint factory site in Bodelwyddan and signposting will direct drivers from the main road/roundabout on the approach to the Hospital. The car park holds up to 250 cars, is floodlit and there will be a security presence during operating hours.
The service will be available Monday to Friday each week. Buses will run every fifteen minutes, with the first bus leaving the Hotpoint site at 6:30am and the last bus leaving Glan Clwyd Hospital at 7:35pm. There is NO charge for using the service.
The Park and Ride Scheme will run over the winter months. It will be monitored closely and feedback from users used to review and improve our parking facilities for our patients, visitors and staff.
All our staff are being encouraged to use the new shuttle service whenever possible, and hence improve the experience for patients and visitors attending the hospital.
