The North Wales Coast Regeneration Area (R.A.) is making funds available to support Community Capital projects.

The fund will operate initially over a 3 year period and CVSC are now in receipt of the Application Form and Guidance for the Community Fund.

Projects may be undertaken by community and voluntary groups, registered charities, town and community councils.  All projects must be located within the Regeneration Area which in Conwy takes in Mochdre/Rhos-on-Sea through to Kinmel Bay.

This is a discretionary grant with the amount of funding offered assessed on an individual project basis.  The maximum contribution available per capital project is £20,000 inclusive of V.A.T.  The R.A. will look at 50% funding towards the cost of the project but applications in exceptional circumstances may be awarded higher (up to 80%)

Alongside this fund, RWE npower renewables have made funding available for community benefit projects across the same area.  This fund has a maximum amount of £10,000 or 50%.

In both cases the minimum grant is £1,000 and further information is available within the document.
