North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm
Fferm wynt North Hoyle yw'r fferm wynt fasnachol gyntaf ar y môr yn y DU. Mae North Hoyle yn eiddo i Greencoat UK Wind. Cafodd y fferm wynt ei chomisiynu'n llawn yn 2004 ac mae wedi cefnogi'r gymuned leol ers i’r gwaith ddechrau drwy ei chronfeydd cymunedol pwrpasol.
Daeth y rhwymedigaeth cronfa gymunedol wreiddiol o 20 mlynedd i ben yn 2024 ond cytunodd y bwrdd cyfarwyddwyr i barhau â'i gefnogaeth i'r gymuned leol yn wirfoddol nes bod y fferm wynt yn cael ei datgomisiynu.
Yn 2024, cyfraniad North Hoyle i'r gronfa gymunedol oedd £126,000 ac ymrwymiad North Hoyle yw cynyddu'r cyfraniad hwn yn unol â chwyddiant i sicrhau bod y gymuned yn parhau i gael ei chefnogi drwy gydol oes y prosiect.
Mae'r gronfa gymunedol yn gwasanaethu ardaloedd Y Rhyl, Prestatyn ac Alltmelyd.

North Hoyle wind farm is the first commercial offshore wind farm in the UK. North Hoyle is fully owned by Greencoat UK Wind. The windfarm was fully commissioned in 2004 and it has supported the local community since the start of operations via its dedicated community funds.
The original community fund obligation of 20 years expired in 2024 but the board of directors agreed to voluntarily continue its support to the local community until the wind farm is decommissioned.
In 2024, the contribution of North Hoyle to the community fund was £126,000 and the commitment of North Hoyle is to increase this contribution in accordance to inflation to ensure the community remains supported through the life of the project.
The community fund serves the areas of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Meliden
