Goodbye and Good Luck to our Long-Serving Youth Led Panel Member!
We are seeing off one of our longest-serving panel members this month. Alexis has volunteered with our Youth Led Grants panel for 5 years; allocating funding, getting the word out there about the fund, and bringing the energy to our meetings! We wish Alexis all the best for her next adventure 😊. Here’s what Alexis said about her time volunteering with us:
“I’ve enjoyed many things about volunteering on the Youth Panel. Mainly, I’ve enjoyed going on site visits to see the projects we’ve made decisions on, and the impact they have on young people. I’ve gained lots of great experiences and memories from being part of the Youth Panel, and I’m really grateful for the time I’ve spent volunteering”.
If you are interested in joining the Youth Led Grants Panel, why not get in touch with us?
What is the panel?
The Conwy Youth Led Grants Panel is made up of young people aged 14–25 who decide how Youth Led Grant funding is awarded. Members also help promote the grant and visit funded projects. No experience is needed – full training is provided, and travel expenses are covered.
How often does the panel meet?
Usually every two weeks, but the panel decides the meeting schedule to fit around commitments such as exams.
Is it right for me?
Why not come along to a no-obligation taster session? You might enjoy it if you like:
