- You Are the Culture of Conwy!

What do we do?

  • Amdani! Conwy is a new project which supports cultural venues and event organisers and works with our communities to make arts, culture and heritage fun, accessible and inclusive.
  • Amdani! Conwy creates volunteering opportunities for local people to get involved in arts, culture and heritage. Anyone with an interest in arts, culture, and heritage can join!
  • As a volunteer, you will be able to meet people from different backgrounds and walks of life, develop new skills, and learn from local artists and professionals.
  • As part of Creu Conwy Partnership, Amdani! Conwy is being delivered by Conwy County Borough Council, CVSC (Community & Voluntary Support Conwy) and Disability Arts Cymru to achieve Creating the Spark – a Cultural Strategy for Conwy County 2021-2026.
  • Amdani! Conwy is a pilot project which has been generously funded by the Spirit of 2012: Volunteering Cities Fund and Conwy County Borough Council.

The Team

JASMINE PILLING

Amdani! Conwy Volunteer Programme Manager (Community and Voluntary Support Conwy)

I’m Jasmine, the new Amdani! Conwy (Go Conwy) Volunteer Programme Manager for CVSC, I will be responsible for the creation and development of the new inclusive and engaging volunteer programme across Conwy along with the Access and Inclusion Officer David.

My background is Broadcast Journalism, but during the last 6 years I have had extensive volunteer and management involvement in The Third Sector. Having also volunteered myself as a Radio Presenter for Bayside Radio I am passionate about the volunteering world! So I am really excited to restore volunteering and make it more accessible, inclusive and FUN!

DAVID CLEARY

Access and Inclusion Officer (Disability Arts Cymru)

I’m David, the Access and Inclusion Officer for Amdani! Conwy (Go Conwy) through Disability Arts Cymru. I’ll be working with Jasmine to open Amdani! Conwy to the wider community. My job is to hold a space where a mix of different voices (Verbal and non-verbal) can help us shape Amdani!, and offer additional support to make Amdani! work for those who need it.

I moved to Conwy in 2021 from my hometown of Hull, working in galleries as a curator who specialises in learning and collaborative projects between artists and communities. I’m looking forward to playing with new ways of bringing people together with creativity and culture.
