Volunteers of Youth Shedz, John Roberts, Angela Lloyd and Sonia Nicholson were all presented with CVSC Volunteering certificates of gratitude. as collectively, they have supported Youth Shed with around 250 hours of volunteering, hosting quizzes and chats and checking in with the Youth Shedderz over Lockdown...as well as faithfully attending Sheds that have reopened since Autumn to make sure activities are available.
This has included developing the Shed Space in Blaenau Ffestiniog (where this picture was taken!), and doing some outreach with younger people there, around bike safety at night, plus exciting plans around litter picks and tree planting for the community!
Volunteers Angela Lloyd and Sonia Nicholson have since commenced 8 hours paid employment with Youth Shedz.

‘Even though it has been a really tough year, I have grown a lot personally and YouthShedz has helped with that.’
‘Without our volunteers, I would not have been able to survive this year as it has been such a hard time for everyone and I am so grateful to them.’
It has been great working closely with Sian, Volunteer Co-ordinator with Youth Shedz, developing their volunteering policies and also finding out about the excellent work Youth Shedz carry out for younger people!
