Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice

Supporting families with babies with complex or life threatening conditions

£50,000 from the Gwynt y Môr Community Fund over two years will fund 0.5 of the post of a specialist Neonatal Link Nurse at Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice.  Ty Gobaith have sought additional match funding to make this a fulltime position and extending the service even further beyond Gwynt y Môr Community Fund boundaries.

“On behalf of everyone on the team at Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice, I’m writing to extend our heartfelt thanks for your recent grant.

At this time of great uncertainty it is a great comfort to know that organisations, such as yours, are able to help us in our continued efforts to ensure that the children that we support, with life threatening conditions, receive the best level of care we can give them.

Your emergency grant has enabled us to purchase the essential equipment needed to manage symptoms for these children, and has helped us to improve their quality of life, even at end of life.

Your grant of £50,000 to fund a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Post for the Gwynt y Môr Community Fund area of benefit was extraordinarily generous indeed.  Without your support, we would not have been in a position to extend this much-needed service in north Wales, particularly in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on our ability to fundraise.

You have made it possible for us to continue with our vital work in the most difficult of times.

Thank you so much for remembering our babies, children and families. We shall never forget your kindness.”
