YOUTH VOLUNTEERING

Get involved!

Volunteering is all about making a difference in your community, and being an important part of it. But it is also about what you can get from the experience.

Young people volunteer for various reasons:

  • Meet new friends
  • Learn new skills or develop/maintain existing ones
  • Build confidence
  • Gain experience and increase employability
  • Feel the buzz of helping others

Volunteering isn’t all about getting the tasks completed, it often involves a lot of fun too!

We make sure opportunities are of a high-quality standard, so that you as a young volunteer, will get the most out of your experience!

Youth Led Grant 2021-22

The aim of the Youth Led Grants scheme is to support small youth led projects across the County of Conwy, empowering young people to take an active role in their communities and involve/recruit young people to take part in volunteering projects and activities.

Are you an organisation looking to involve young people?

Young people can bring many talents, skills and energy to your organisation. We can give support and guidance to you of the best ways to engage with, and retain young people as volunteers.

Informal presentations (all virtual at the moment) can be made to Schools, Youth Clubs, Young Farmers Clubs, Colleges, Careers Wales and in fact any youth organisation who would like more information about Youth Volunteering.
