Youth Led Grants Panel Members Needed

CVSC are looking to recruit young people to volunteer and become part of its youth led grants panel.

As a Panel member, you will be joining a small group of young grant makers aged between 14 and 25 years, responsible for assessing grant applications led and carried out by young people from a range of small volunteering projects and groups in Conwy. You will assess and make decisions on applications, awarding funding to those groups in need.

Being a Panel Member is a great opportunity to, further develop your skills, enhance your CV, meet new people, increase your confidence, make a real difference to communities in Conwy and have fun!

You will need the following skills:

  • good communication
  • decision making
  • team working

You will be fully supported in your role, with training offered to help you understand the grant and your role fully (this may be carried out online in accordance with safe procedures).

The Panel typically meet between 3 to 6 times year to make decisions about the funding and updates/training, this could be done virtually at the moment. You can also visit the funded projects for us and conduct interviews/write case studies or blogs if you're interested. Out of pocket expenses will also be paid.
