Trefnant Village Hall

In December 2021 Trefnant Village Hall received £15,822.00 towards expanding their existing Solar panel system with 15 new solar panels and add a Tesla Powerwall battery storage system.

This green energy project was to keep the hire costs of the hall down for users by ensuring that the hall could save money on their energy bills.

The committee have worked hard over the years to develop the village hall, and the hall is fully booked 5 days per week with children’s parties booked on weekends. The weekend bookings for parties have started to pick up again now since the pandemic and the hall is thriving and fully booked every day.

By installing a further 15 solar panels and battery the hall has already seen a difference in savings and up to the end of 2022 showed earnings of £1,325 since the installation. This has meant that they haven’t had to increase the hire costs for their users, which is a great help to the whole community.
