ABOUT US

The voluntary and community sector (third sector) makes a significant contribution to Health and Social Care services, complementing statutory services by bridging gaps in services and supporting seamless service provision.  The Welsh Government recognises the sector as a key partner in delivering its health and wellbeing policy, which is reflected in the vision for the NHS Wales where local people are central.

CVSC has three officers who liaise with the third sector, the Health Board and Local Authority to ensure the health and social care provision in Conwy is as strong and united as possible. This includes sitting on key partnerships and steering groups, hosting a regular Health and Social Care cross sector Network and direct engagement with the citizens of Conwy.  CVSC is also host to Car y Llan, a grant funded community car scheme operating for the benefit of isolated patients registered with Uwchaled Medical Practice and Meddygfa Betws y Coed.

Partnership working between the statutory and voluntary sectors covers a wide range of areas:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Economic Development
  • Crime and Disorder
  • Lifelong Learning
  • Information
  • Children and Young People
  • Community Development
