Retirement News - Jan Smith
It is with very mixed emotions, I write this to let you all know that I am retiring from CVSC shortly, with my last working day Friday 19th April. This is after a long and happy working time of over 26 years, having had my first day on 1st Sept 1997, indeed the very launch of the brand-new Voluntary Services Council in the newly created county of Conwy.
Since then, so much has happened and changed, including –
- Development of digital services and delivery
Multiple projects, but all directly supporting the 3rd Sector, and in turn often our most vulnerable citizens
- Effective grants team with the underlining due diligence support increasing capacity and strength in the Sector
- Becoming one of the best performing CVCs in Wales
I have met so many incredible, talented and dedicated people over the years – staff, volunteers, Trustees, and it has always heartened me to see kindness, diligence and caring prevail. I thank you all for your welcome, example, your friendship, and making my time in CVSC such a wonderful experience.
In turn, I am so pleased to see the current CVSC Team expand and be so capable of continuing all the good work – it is definitely a case of onwards and upwards! I therefore leave confident in the certain great future ahead for CVSC.
Sending my very best wishes and fulsome thanks to you all, and I do hope our paths continue to cross in one guise or another…
